1. Why are you an association international practitioner? What do you like best about your current position? 

I have always been fascinated with international relations. Polite responses often require subtle and creative approaches. This can be very challenging and very rewarding.

2. What idea or contribution to your organization are you most proud of?

We grew internationally from a US-based association. It was necessary to alter and expand the value proposition of the association in order to create an appeal and a brand that is broader than one country. We have made great progress in this area.

3. What is the biggest opportunity or challenge you see in your professional specialty area in the next five years?

Information management outsourcing, like many other industries, is undergoing change on a revolutionary scale. The speed of technology is daunting. Our members have to change the way they think, as well as the way they operate and we have to help them do that.

4. If you weren’t an association international practitioner, what profession would you most like to try?

Zeppelin pilot.

5. Forgetting about work, if you could be anywhere in the world doing anything you wanted right now, where would you be and what would you be doing? 

Exploring a used bookstore.
